Capacity & hours

What is the maximum capacity at Hidden Burnley?

Hidden has a 350-guest capacity for exclusive private hire.

What hours are you licensed for?

We are licensed from 7pm until 6am, seven nights a week. Earlier daytime hires (for example christenings or baby showers starting at midday) can usually be accommodated with a little extra notice as we apply to the council on your behalf.

What kinds of events do you host?

Birthdays of all ages, gender reveals, baby showers, weddings, engagements, Christmas and corporate parties, retirements, family occasions, work dos and promoter-led club nights. The venue is hired exclusively for your event.

Is Hidden the latest-licensed venue in East Lancashire?

Yes, per our premises licence we are licensed for private hire from 7pm to 6am, seven nights a week, which is the latest published licence window in East Lancashire. That is why guests travel cross-border from Greater Manchester (Bury, Bolton, Manchester) and West Yorkshire (Bradford, Halifax) for late-licence club nights and over-21 birthday parties: Hidden is the closest reliably-late venue for that catchment.

Catering & drinks

Can I bring my own caterer or food?

Yes. We have no ties for catering, decor or entertainment. We can supply or recommend trusted providers, or you are welcome to bring your own.

Can I bring my own drinks?

No, under our premises licence all alcohol must be supplied through our two on-site bars. We will work with you to build a drinks list at price points that suit your event.

Do you accommodate cultural-wedding requirements (halal, kosher, vegetarian, vegan, mehndi, dietary)?

Yes. Catering is flexible: you can choose your own caterer or ask us to source one. We work with each booking on cultural and dietary requirements including halal, kosher, vegetarian and vegan options. Tell us at enquiry and we will work it through.

Booking & deposit

Do you take a deposit and what is the cancellation policy?

Bookings are secured with a deposit at the point of confirmation, with the balance due ahead of the event. Full cancellation terms are issued with your booking contract.

How do I check availability and book?

Accessibility & parking

Is parking available?

Public parking is available a short walk from the venue in central Burnley, including the St James's Street multi-storey, around 4 minutes' walk away. We are also a 5-minute walk from Burnley Manchester Road railway station. Detailed directions are on our Find Us page.

Is the venue accessible for wheelchair users?

Yes, our entrance, main floor, bars and toilets are accessible. Please flag any specific access needs at booking and we will walk you through the layout.

Where do most of your guests travel from?

Burnley, Padiham, Nelson, Colne, Brierfield, Accrington, Blackburn and the wider East Lancashire core are the everyday catchment. Out-of-town guests travel in from Bolton and Preston along the M65, from Manchester via the M66, and from Bradford and Halifax across the Pennines. Late-licence club nights pull from a wider catchment than weddings or family events.

Is there hotel accommodation for out-of-town guests?

Yes. Burnley town centre has walkable hotels a short walk from 1 Cow Lane, including Premier Inn Burnley Town Centre. For guests arriving by train, Burnley Manchester Road is a 5-minute walk away with direct services on the Calder Valley line from Manchester Victoria and connecting services from Preston, Blackburn, Bolton and West Yorkshire. We are happy to recommend current top-rated options at the time of your booking.

Can you accommodate coach drop-off for corporate parties?

Yes. The M65 J10 (Hapton) exit is around 5 minutes' drive from the venue and is the natural arrival point for coaches from the M61 / M66 corridor including Bolton, Manchester and Preston, and from the M62 corridor including Bradford and Halifax. Coaches can drop off straight onto Cow Lane. Tell us your route and group size at enquiry and we will coordinate the timing with you.

Door & age policy

What is the minimum age policy?

Daytime family events welcome all ages. For evening hires after 7pm where alcohol is served, our standard policy is over-18s only with Challenge 25 ID checks at the door, unless we have agreed otherwise as part of the booking.

Do you have a dress code?

Hidden is hired exclusively for your event so the dress code is yours to set. We will share any guidelines with your guests in advance.

Do you provide door security?

SIA-licensed door staff are included on evening hires and are scaled to the size and style of your event.

Sound, lighting & decor

What is included in the sound and lighting?

Every booking includes our full sound system, stage lighting, lasers and visual-effects rig, and a DJ booth. We can supply a DJ or work with one of yours.

Are there any restrictions on decoration?

We welcome decoration including balloon arches, themed setups, glitter walls and photo booths. We just ask that nothing is fixed to the walls without prior agreement and that any glitter or confetti is cleared during pack-down.

How long do I get for set-up and clean-up?

Set-up access is typically 2 hours before your event. Clean-down is included as part of the hire. We will agree a window with you in advance.
